in a lot of the stuff i have read on the Delphi method some of the differences that ive noticed is the fact that when the Delphi method is actually put into practice a lot of the people discussing the topics have studied the subject in depth for long periods of time. not necessarily making them masters on the subject but just giving them a very good idea of the subject. this means there is a lot more discussion on the subject and can easily lead to very heated debates. this also means you are dealing with people that are very strong on their stance of the subject making it harder to persuade them to change their opinions. also the discussions can go on for more than just a couple of rounds. some of the discussions can go through multiple rounds of discussion and voting.
one of the biggest weaknesses i see with our method in class is that not everyone really knows about the subject and a lot of the time it might be swayed by faulse data.
